Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using The Watchman at watchman.faith, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms govern your use of The Watchman's website, features, and subscription services.

What The Watchman Provides

The Watchman provides faith-based content including daily scripture briefings, local news matched to scripture, stewardship guides, a personal scripture journal, and preparedness resources. All content is provided for informational and devotional purposes. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not share your account with others or use it for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, are being misused.

Subscriptions and Billing

Watchman Pro is a monthly subscription billed at $9.99 per month. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until that date. We do not issue refunds for partial months. All billing is handled by Stripe and governed by their terms as well as ours.

Content and Intellectual Property

All content on The Watchman — including articles, stewardship guides, briefings, and scripture bridges — is the property of The Watchman and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission. Scripture quotations are from the English Standard Version (ESV) unless otherwise noted and are used under fair use provisions for non-commercial devotional purposes.

Your Content

Journal entries you write remain yours. We store them to provide the service and do not use your personal journal content for any other purpose. You may export or delete your journal at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes all stored journal entries.

Accuracy of Content

The Watchman uses automated systems to match news headlines to scripture. While we review content for appropriateness, we cannot guarantee that every match is theologically precise or that every headline is fully accurate. News content is sourced from third-party providers. Use your own discernment when acting on any content found on this platform.

Limitation of Liability

The Watchman is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, The Watchman is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, financial loss, or decisions made based on content found here.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. Significant changes will be communicated to subscribers by email. Continued use of The Watchman after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
